Your information, in plain English

We build and look after websites and browse-only QR menus for food businesses. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version

We only collect what we need to make your preview, build and look after your site, and take your monthly payment.
Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
We never sell your information.

1. What we collect

When you ask for a free preview on forkpop.app: your business name, your name, your email, the link you share (for example your website or social page) and your message.

When you sign up on our onboarding form:

Business and contact details: your business name, your name, business phone, address, time zone, opening hours, your domain and current website (if you have them), the email for your receipts and invoices, and the email or social account where you'd like to talk about updates.
Your menu, photos, files and any notes you add.
Your choices: whether you let us use photos from your public profiles, and that you agreed to our Terms, with the time you did so.

Payments: whether your payments went through, and Stripe's reference numbers for them. Never your full card number.

When we work together: the messages you send us by email, Instagram or Facebook, including your menu updates and change requests.

Spam protection: a scrambled (hashed) code made from your internet (IP) address, plus your browser type, so we can block repeat or automated submissions. We don't keep the IP address itself.

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics on our site. The company that hosts our website may keep its own basic technical logs.

2. Why we use it

To make your free preview and reply to you.
To build, run and look after your website and QR menu, and make the updates you ask for.
To take your monthly payment, send receipts, and let you know if a payment fails.
To keep our forms safe from spam.

3. Payments are handled by Stripe

Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. You type your card details straight into Stripe's secure fields, so ForkPop never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the services that help us run ForkPop, and only so they can do that job:

Stripe, for payments
Supabase, our private, secure database and file storage
Vercel, which hosts our websites
Google Workspace, for our email
Instagram or Facebook, only if you choose to talk with us there

The photos, menu and details you agree to use will appear on your website, because that's what they're for.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're a ForkPop client, and afterwards only as long as we need it for our records or the law. If you asked for a preview and didn't sign up, you can ask us to delete your details anytime. Stripe keeps its own payment records, even after we delete ours.

6. Your choices

Want a copy of the information we hold about you, want something corrected, or want us to delete it? Just email hello@forkpop.app and we'll take care of it. Want a photo taken off your site? Tell us and we'll swap it out.

7. Changes to this page

If we update this page, we'll change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you before it applies.
